Raymond Kanelba's artistic journey began in Warsaw in 1918. After studying in Vienna, he settled in Paris in 1925, where he gained recognition in the art world. Exhibitions, influential connections, and a major solo show in 1928 propelled his career. He returned to Poland in 1933, later moving to the UK, and then the United States in 1951, where he received commissions from multiple governments, including a notable portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in 1955.
